About The Position

The Tempur-Pedic Sales Associate provides excellent customer service while selling and marketing Tempur-Pedic products. The associate also serves as a member of store management when the Store Manager is unavailable, which may include opening or closing the store and covering management duties. The role assists with store performance, sales-team leadership, problem-solving, merchandising, and implementation of company programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of retail experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with high-end luxury and/or custom products.
• Strong sales skills in a consultative environment.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, direct, and train others in a store setting.
• Skill with current best-practice retail methods, procedures, and standards.
• Ability to collaborate and both lead and follow.
• Flexibility in work schedule to reflect the needs and patterns of store hours.
• Fluency with current retail software and computer systems.
• Ability to stand for lengthy periods and occasionally lift items, with or without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and maintaining responsibility for the overall performance of the store.
• Provide leadership throughout the sales process, including customer service and care, professional appearance, compliance with company policies and procedures, and maintenance of the Tempur Sealy brand.
• Continue to perform all Retail Sales Associate responsibilities at an exceptional level.
• Assist the Store Manager in identifying deficiencies and solving problems in the store and within the sales team.
• Assist the Store Manager with merchandising, implementation of company programs, and other needs.
• Resolve problems within the sales team and direct larger issues to the Store Manager.
• Open and/or close the store and cover management duties when the Store Manager is unavailable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
