About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring excellence in customer service in the store by upholding high retail standards to ensure an in-store experience that aligns with company standards. The associate will initiate conversations with all customers, building a relationship to learn interests and identify products to suggest. They will assist customers in the fitting room, recommend products aligned with customer needs and preferences through suggestive selling, and encourage purchases. The role also involves building brand loyalty by promoting the rewards program and achieving weekly loyalty sign-up goals, learning about new products and trends to better engage customers, and consistently achieving personal sales targets while contributing to overall store performance. Additionally, the associate will provide information and advice on product performance, features, and specifications. The role also requires maintaining visual merchandising standards, ensuring the sales floor is clean, organized, and well-stocked, and assisting in daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, accurately processing transactions, handling cash, and maintaining point-of-sale integrity. Following all company and store policies, processes, and procedures, and reacting quickly to all customer and/or employee injuries and reporting them immediately to the manager on duty are also key responsibilities. The associate will participate in Loss Prevention Audits and understand and comply with company loss prevention policies to minimize store shrink.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 16 years of age or older.
  • Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
  • Minimum availability of 12 hours per week including one weekend day.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and team members.
  • Operate office equipment and technology (i.e., cash register, computers, phones, scanners, etc.).
  • Stand and move throughout the store during scheduled shifts.
  • Walking and moving to assist customers, retrieve merchandise and recover the store.
  • Lifting and carrying, ability to maneuver and/or lift 25 lbs. regularly, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to push/pull full racks of merchandise for restocking the store.
  • Ability to reach, stretch, bend, stoop, and crouch to retrieve items from shelves, restock, and maintain store cleanliness.
  • Manual labor is required occasionally to assemble displays and/or rearrange the store layout.
  • Vision to accurately read labels, assist customers, and tasks that require attention to detail.
  • Ability to use fine manipulation, and grasp with hands to sort and organize clothing, ex. place on hangers, folding, organize in color/size order.
