About The Position

Ace Retail Group (ARG), a division of Ace Hardware Corporation, operates over 250 neighborhood hardware stores across the United States under various Ace brands. The Sales Associate will be responsible for assisting with merchandise receiving, stocking, pricing, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment, both on the sales floor and in the stock room.

Requirements

High School or GED equivalent.
Formal retail experience preferred.
Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 25lbs), and climb.
Ability to exhibit and incorporate Core Values into daily decisions and interactions.

Responsibilities

Assist in the receiving, stocking, and pricing of all merchandise.
Maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness.
Provide a positive representation of Ace Retail Group and proactively assist customers.
Greet customers entering and throughout the store, thanking them upon departure.
Answer all pages and calls promptly, courteously, and effectively.
Handle customer complaints or forward them to management.
Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and product locations.
Assist customers with personalized service.
Assist in creating a positive, professional, and safe work environment.
Assist with receiving, checking in, and stocking merchandise.
Maintain back stock levels.
Ensure the daily maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room, and outdoor merchandise area.
Provide a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and ad merchandise.
Assist with merchandise resets throughout the store.
Provide assistance to Department Specialists with tasks like price changes and special orders.
Ensure signage is current throughout the store.
Operate a forklift with proper training.
Communicate Store Support Center issues to the General Manager.
Communicate merchandising, cost control, or sales ideas to the General Manager.
Participate in store meetings.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
