About The Position

A sales associate is responsible for helping customers with all facets of buying a vehicle to include, but not limited to: greeting, needs assessment, selection of a vehicle, demonstrating product knowledge walk-arounds, demonstration drive, completing credit applications, negotiations, and the delivery of purchased vehicles. Sales associate must demonstrate professional product knowledge and perform demonstrations for over 75 different vehicle models that are in the company’s inventory.

  • Mastery of the 4 principles of selling
  • Basic knowledge of a computer
  • Comfortable navigating through social media sites
  • Basic knowledge of a vehicle (e.g., brakes, axle, radiator, AC compressor, muffler, transmission, computer screen, electrical buttons)
  • Adherence to the employee handbook and Jenkins & Wynne, Inc. Road to the Sale Policy
  • Completion of a four-week training course
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Insurable through Jenkins & Wynne, Inc. underwriter
  • Qualify for the State of Tennessee Sales License
