About The Position

The Sales Associate provides quality customer service and drives product sales. This role requires knowledge of the store’s product areas and departments, adherence to company policies and visual standards, and active promotion of sales and merchandise. As an ambassador for the organization and brand, the Sales Associate creates a distinctive customer experience to acquire and retain customers. The position is part-time and based at the Gateway Towne Center in Jacksonville, Florida.

Requirements

0–2 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and precisely.
Team player with a passion for outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide extraordinary customer service, including greeting customers as they enter and assisting multiple customers during peak periods.
Promote and sell the organization’s services and merchandise.
Set goals to improve selling skills and track overall sales.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards in the operations, personnel, visual, and customer service manuals, as well as company memos.
Assist with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
Present merchandise to promote and sell goods, following guidance in the product knowledge manual.
Achieve or exceed sales targets and goals.
Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
Attend all store staff meetings and tech clinics.
Protect company assets and financial information by ensuring internal controls are accurate and effective, and by reporting potential fraud risks to management or appropriate officials.
