About The Position

Stryker is a leading medical technology company dedicated to improving healthcare through innovative reconstructive, medical and surgical, and neurotechnology and spine products. As a Sales Associate in the Sports Medicine specialty, you will serve as the primary contact for Stryker products, supporting Sales Representatives in sales, promotion, and marketing efforts. Your role involves educating and informing doctors, nurses, and other medical staff on the proper use, maintenance, functionality, updates, and educational programs related to Stryker products. Following comprehensive product training, you will be responsible for customizing promotional messages based on customer knowledge, recommending appropriate products, addressing customer inquiries about product functionality, and highlighting the unique advantages of Stryker products over competitors. This position offers the flexibility to prioritize activities that deliver the most value to customers and the market, directly impacting patient care.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years in an outside sales position
  • B.A. or B.S. degree required

Responsibilities

  • Assisting Sales Representatives in the sales, promotion and marketing of Stryker products
  • Educate and inform doctors, nurses, and appropriate staff personnel as to the proper use and maintenance of Stryker products, product functionality and updates, changes to product portfolio, and educational programs
  • Tailor Stryker’s promotional message based upon knowledge of the customer
  • Advise on appropriate product selection
  • Answer customer questions about product functionality
  • Distinguish Stryker products from those of Stryker’s competitors
  • Communicate with large groups of people
  • Communicate telephonically
  • Use common office equipment (e.g. fax, modem, calculator, PC, etc.)
  • Drive an automobile
  • Routinely negotiate price and terms of transactions between Stryker and its customers
  • Readily solve customer complaints and questions
  • Have command of all products, including functionality, features, and factors that differentiate Stryker products from its competitors’ products, and be able to disseminate this knowledge to the customer
  • Analyze territory market potential prioritize call patterns accordingly
