About The Position

J.Jill is seeking a passionate, customer-focused, results-driven part-time Sales Associate to build customer relationships and provide a welcoming, positive shopping experience. The role involves offering personalized service and styling advice, helping customers find products, and contributing to store sales goals. Associates learn J.Jill merchandise and provide informed recommendations while supporting merchandising, store operations, and a positive team environment. The position includes extensive standing and walking, merchandise handling, use of store equipment and mobile devices, and lifting or carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds.

Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to perform extensive standing, walking, reaching, bending, pushing and pulling, and maneuvering around the store.
• Ability to hang and fold merchandise, climb ladders, operate POS registers and company mobile devices, and occasionally operate a trash compactor or use a hand truck.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and participate in team lifting.

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful customer connections through personalized service and styling advice.
• Help customers find products and provide a seamless, enjoyable shopping experience while contributing to sales goals.
• Develop knowledge of J.Jill merchandise to provide expert guidance and recommendations.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and execute floor sets.
• Participate in operational functions, including marketing, product processing and replenishment, markdowns and promotions, store cleanliness, and backroom organization.
• Work with team members to create a positive and supportive work environment.
• Address customer needs and concerns in a friendly, solution-oriented manner.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to help the store succeed.
