Job Profile Summary : The Sales Associate supports the Global Family Office (GFO) Sales Team by assisting with pipeline management, sales reporting, presentation development, event coordination, and day-to-day operational support. This role works closely with Wealth Strategists and Senior Sales Associates to help maintain an organized and efficient sales process while gaining exposure to the family office, wealth management, investment management, fiduciary, and banking solutions offered by Northern Trust. This position is designed for early-career professionals seeking to build a foundation in sales, relationship management, and wealth management. Through hands-on experience and mentorship, the Sales Associate will develop the skills necessary to progress into a Senior Sales Associate role.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to analyze and organize data and generate meaningful reports.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Finance, Business, Economics, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of professional experience.
  • Demonstrated initiative, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to learn.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Project coordination and event planning skills preferred.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, CRM platforms, or reporting tools is preferred.
  • Internship or prior experience in financial services, sales support, marketing, business operations, event planning, or client service is preferred.
  • Strong academic performance and demonstrated extracurricular leadership are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance and accuracy of the GFO sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities and activities are consistently updated in Salesforce and other reporting tools.
  • Prepare and distribute recurring sales team activity metrics and pipeline reporting to support business development efforts.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of client presentations, prospect materials, marketing updates, briefing memoranda, and other sales deliverables.
  • Coordinate logistics for internal meetings, prospect meetings, client events, conferences, webinars, and networking activities, including scheduling, registration management, venue coordination, and materials preparation.
  • Support Senior Sales Associates and Wealth Strategists with prospect research, data collection, meeting preparation, and administrative follow-up.
  • Help organize and maintain sales documentation, team resources, prospect records.
  • Assist with special projects and process improvement efforts that support the growth objectives of the GFO business.
  • Collaborate with Northern Trust business units to execute sales and client engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor internal deadlines, track action items, and help ensure timely completion of team deliverables.
  • Develop an understanding of Northern Trust's wealth management, investment management, fiduciary, and family office capabilities through training, mentorship, and practical experience.
  • Support the GFO Head of Sales with administrative tasks, as needed
