About The Position

Tommy Bahama is seeking a Sales Associate to represent its island-inspired brand and help create a welcoming, relaxed shopping experience. The role involves greeting guests, helping them find merchandise suited to their needs, sharing product knowledge and recommendations, and supporting the store’s sales and service goals. Associates also communicate the brand’s direction, inform guests about marketing programs and events, and participate in store meetings.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of guest and sales experience.
• A “get things done” mindset.
• Ability to collaborate, identify opportunities, and take initiative.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work varied hours and days, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel frequently.
• Ability to climb ladders occasionally.
• Ability to stand routinely for the duration of a shift, up to 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and create a relaxed shopping destination.
• Select and help guests locate or obtain merchandise based on their needs and preferences.
• Learn, reference, and share current product knowledge.
• Provide prompt recommendations and professional service, including fit and fashion-wardrobing advice and suggestions for add-on items.
• Communicate brand direction and inform guests about current marketing programs and upcoming events.
• Participate actively in store-related meetings and work toward sales and service performance goals set by store management.
• Perform other duties as required to support the business.
