About The Position

Slumberland Furniture is seeking a Sales Associate to facilitate sales, checkout, and delivery processes and provide customers with a positive shopping experience. The role involves engaging customers, learning about products and services, using sales strategies, and meeting sales objectives. Sales Associates also support daily financial transactions and help resolve customer account issues by processing payments and refunds. The position offers a commission-based pay structure with a guaranteed minimum and no draw. Average full-time income is stated as $57,000 per year, with potential earnings up to six figures.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have general working knowledge of Microsoft Office and a Point of Sale System.
• Be a self-starter motivated to succeed and reach performance objectives.
• Have proven interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with staff, customers, and vendors.
• Be available to work required weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the sale, checkout, and delivery processes to ensure a positive customer shopping experience.
• Use effective communication techniques to engage customers, build rapport, inform and persuade them, and support sales.
• Become knowledgeable about the products and services offered and practice selling strategies to achieve sales objectives set by the leadership team.
• Provide exceptional customer service, manage difficult situations, and cultivate customer loyalty and satisfaction.
• Participate in balancing the store's daily financial transactions.
• Validate and remedy customer accounts by processing payments and refunds.
