Requirements

High School diploma or GED required
Strong customer service skills
Excellent verbal communication skills
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines
General math skills

Responsibilities

Welcome customers by greeting them and offering assistance
Stock shelves with company product, check in outside vendor merchandise as it arrives
Direct customers by escorting them to racks and counters, suggesting items
Advise customers by providing information on products
Help customers make selections by building customer confidence: offering suggestions and opinions
Document sales by creating or updating customer profile records, if applicable
Process payments by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash and store or other credit cards
Keep clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest
General housekeeping including cleaning the break room and employee restrooms
