About The Position

The Sales Associate works at LaGuardia Airport, providing customer service and supporting store operations. The role includes greeting and assisting customers, answering questions about products and store layout, operating a cash register, and helping the team with stock duties such as receiving freight, replenishing merchandise, and maintaining inventory. The position requires flexibility to work any shift and any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, and follows a full-time schedule.

Responsibilities

Acknowledge and greet customers.
Communicate effectively with customers, fellow employees, and store management.
Learn the basic store layout to assist customers with product selection and answer questions about the store.
Operate a cash register effectively.
Follow company policies, cash-handling policies, and special store loss-prevention procedures.
Communicate pricing, out-of-date product, and inventory issues to management.
Protect company assets and stock merchandise in stores and backrooms.
Isolate, sort, and organize damaged and outdated products and returns, and inform management about out-of-stock situations.
Help maintain a neat, clean, and organized store, including sweeping, dusting, straightening merchandise, and removing trash.
Place stock orders, receive freight, and load and unload trucks.
Replenish stock on the sales floor on an ongoing basis.
Assist with inventory and reconciliation of inventory variances.
Perform related work as assigned.
