About The Position

PHOENIX Retail, LLC operates the Express and Bonobos brands. Express is a multichannel apparel brand offering modern, confident, and effortless styles for work, everyday wear, and special occasions. The company operates retail and outlet stores in the United States and Puerto Rico, as well as online and through its mobile app.

The Sales Associate provides a positive in-store shopping experience for retail customers and assists with tasks such as stocking, cleaning, and folding merchandise. The role involves maintaining safe and inviting store areas, supporting product launches, processing transactions, resolving customer service issues, and promoting credit and loyalty programs. Other essential functions may be assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• At least six months of relevant job experience; the posting lists 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency using technology, including iPads and registers.
• Availability meeting defined criteria, including nights, weekends, and non-business hours.
• Ability to meet the role's physical requirements.
• Customer service skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly with customers, the sales leadership team, and associates.
• Collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, checkout, fitting room, and stock room to ensure the store is safe and inviting to customers.
• Follow company policies and procedures to ensure the safety of associates and customers.
• Assist with product launch changes according to company standard operating procedures.
• Deliver all aspects of the customer experience model.
• Process transactions quickly and accurately to reduce customer wait time.
• Positively resolve customer service-related issues, determine a resolution or escalate them, and communicate issues and resolutions to Store Management.
• Explain the benefits of credit and loyalty member programs and encourage customers to participate.
• Assist with stocking, cleaning, and folding merchandise.
• Perform other essential functions as directed by a supervisor.
