About The Position

PHOENIX Retail, LLC operates the Express and Bonobos brands. Express is a multichannel apparel brand focused on modern, confident and effortless style, with retail and outlet stores, an online store, and a mobile app. This Sales Associate position is at the Melbourne Square store.

The Sales Associate provides a great in-store shopping experience and supports store operations through tasks such as stocking, cleaning, and folding merchandise. The role includes maintaining a clean and organized sales floor, checkout, fitting room, and stock room; following safety policies and procedures; and assisting with product launch changes according to company SOP. Associates deliver the customer experience model, process transactions accurately and efficiently, help resolve customer service issues, and encourage participation in credit and loyalty programs. Other essential functions may be assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of relevant job experience; listed experience range is 0–2 years.
• Proficiency with technology, including iPads and registers.
• Availability that meets defined criteria, including nights, weekends, and non-business hours.
• Ability to meet the position’s physical requirements.
• Customer service skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly with customers, the sales leadership team, and associates.
• Collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and organized sales floor, checkout, fitting room, and stock room to keep the store safe and inviting.
• Follow company policies and procedures to ensure the safety of associates and customers.
• Assist with product launch changes according to company SOP.
• Deliver all aspects of the customer experience model.
• Process transactions quickly and accurately to reduce customer wait times.
• Resolve customer service issues when possible, determine whether to escalate them, and communicate issues and resolutions to Store Management.
• Explain the benefits of credit and loyalty member programs and encourage customer participation.
• Perform additional tasks such as stocking, cleaning, and folding merchandise.
• Perform other essential functions as directed by a supervisor.
