About The Position

Express is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to provide a great in-store shopping experience for retail customers. The role also involves supporting store operations through tasks such as stocking, cleaning, and folding merchandise. The position is at the Algonquin Commons store.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of relevant experience; the stated experience range is 0–2 years.
• Proficiency with technology, including iPads and registers.
• Availability that meets defined criteria, including nights, weekends, and non-business hours.
• Ability to meet the position’s physical requirements.
• Customer service skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly with customers, the sales leadership team, and associates.
• Demonstrated collaboration skills and ability to work well within a team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, checkout, fitting room, and stock room so the store is safe and inviting to customers.
• Follow company policies and procedures to help ensure the safety of associates and customers.
• Assist with product launch changes according to company standard operating procedures.
• Deliver all aspects of the customer experience model.
• Process transactions quickly and accurately to reduce customer wait times.
• Resolve customer service issues positively, determine an appropriate resolution or escalate the issue, and communicate issues and resolutions to Store Management.
• Explain the benefits of credit and loyalty member programs and encourage customer participation.
• Perform other essential functions as directed by a supervisor.
