About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales and builds customer relationships through strong customer service and selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are the most important aspects of the position. The associate helps customers find appropriate merchandise, maintains DTLR standards, and supports an organized, well-stocked sales environment.

Requirements

Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
Basic knowledge of fashion and style trends and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to support customer service, inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and to work flexibly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

Use fashion and trend knowledge to meet customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise, maintaining DTLR standards, and building customer relationships.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to customers and maintain a positive, enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and ensure adequate size runs are represented according to visual directions.
Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Help organize the store as directed by store management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
