About The Position

J.Jill is seeking a passionate, customer-focused, results-driven part-time Sales Associate to create a welcoming and positive shopping experience. The role involves building customer relationships, offering personalized service and styling advice, helping customers find products, and contributing to store sales goals. Associates develop knowledge of J.Jill merchandise and support visual merchandising, store operations, and a positive team environment. The position also includes other responsibilities as assigned to help the store succeed.

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic team player with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to perform extensive standing, walking, reaching, bending, pushing and pulling, and maneuvering around the store.
• Ability to hang and fold merchandise, climb ladders, operate POS registers and company mobile devices, and occasionally operate a trash compactor where applicable and use a hand truck.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and participate in joint or team lifting.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Passion for fashion, styling, and creating a welcoming customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful connections with customers by providing personalized service and styling advice.
• Help customers find products and provide a seamless, enjoyable shopping experience while contributing to sales goals.
• Develop knowledge of J.Jill merchandise to provide guidance and recommendations.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and support floor set execution.
• Participate in store operations, including marketing, product processing and replenishment, markdowns and promotions, store cleanliness, and backroom organization.
• Work with team members to create a positive and supportive work environment.
• Address customer needs and concerns with a friendly, solution-oriented approach.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
