About The Position

The Temporary Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The role supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; processes customer purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and follows merchandising and merchandise-processing procedures. The associate also supports store recovery, cleanliness, organization, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts, and performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following established customer experience practices.
• Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and provide the correct change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Uphold the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• May be cross-trained in multiple areas of the store to support business needs.
