Requirements

  • A strong ability to sell and consistently work toward meeting or exceeding sales and gross margin goals
  • A customer-first mindset with excellent communication and follow-through
  • Confidence in assessing customer needs, recommending solutions, and closing sales
  • The ability to explain product features, benefits, specifications, and care requirements clearly and effectively
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, including quote preparation, order entry, and record accuracy
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams
  • Initiative in developing new sales opportunities and nurturing customer relationships
  • A commitment to maintaining a polished, welcoming, and sales-ready showroom
  • The flexibility to support showroom coverage and take on additional responsibilities as needed
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Two years’ experience in an outbound call center, retail, or a related sales position in appliance whole distribution or transferal industry experience such as home improvement, building products, or other similar industries.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows: Outlook, SharePoint, basic Word and Excel, internet usage; mobile devices.
  • Familiar with Enterprise Resource Planning and Salesforce.
  • Proven work history of being dependable, building customer relationships, and achieving sales goals

Responsibilities

  • Sells appliances to BSI, Inc. customers - homeowners, builders, and multi-family developers - across apartment replacement, retail, and builder segments of the business and supports the business by achieving gross margin sales goals.
  • This position is customer-facing and showroom-based, requiring strong product knowledge, professionalism, responsiveness, and follow-through.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experience in person, by phone, and through written communication.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of product lines, pricing, availability, delivery, and installation practices.
  • Help ensure the showroom is welcoming, organized, and sales ready.
  • Effective coordination with customers, outside sales, warehouse, delivery, and other internal teams to support accurate order processing and successful project completion.
  • Be available in office on the showroom floor from open to close.
  • Maintain strong product knowledge across appliances and related services, including specifications, pricing, lead times, delivery, and installation practices.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and sales-ready showroom environment.
  • Be available on the showroom floor as scheduled to support customers and daily operations.
