About The Position

NORMAN’S, an employee-owned Hallmark Gold Crown retailer, is seeking a part-time Sales Associate for its Montgomery Promenade location in Princeton, New Jersey. Sales Associates contribute to a caring team atmosphere and provide customers with a memorable, genuine experience. They are a primary source of knowledge on the sales floor and are expected to show initiative, work as a team, and exemplify excellence throughout the customer experience.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets business needs, including events, holidays, evenings, and weekends.
Strong aptitude for basic math functions, including percentages and general arithmetic.
Ability to continuously stand and walk; frequently push and pull; occasionally bend, stoop, crawl, reach above shoulders, kneel, climb a ladder, and carry up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Use the Customer CARE program to drive retail sales by genuinely connecting with customers, building relationships, and earning their business.
Prioritize the customer and treat them as the most important individual to the business.
Consistently meet store-specific Crown Rewards enrollment goals.
Learn and efficiently use the register system to provide a pleasant point-of-sale experience; maintain cash register accuracy.
Use strong selling skills during customer interactions to build sales and customer satisfaction.
Proactively learn product knowledge for all merchandise and apply it when selling to customers.
Maintain and restock displays as directed by store management.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
