About The Position

This role is responsible for assisting customers, maintaining the store, and supporting daily operations. The Sales Associate will help unload trucks, stock shelves, organize departments, and handle customer requests. They are expected to provide excellent customer service, watch for shoplifters, and respond to radio calls. Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience.
• Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Skilled at providing prompt, friendly, and attentive customer service.
• Strong organizational skills with a passion for details.
• Willing to learn all areas of the store and help train others.
• A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.
• Availability must be flexible, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Hardware experience preferred.
• Knowledge and experience of various departments is strongly desired.
• Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise.
• Maintain assigned department: Keep clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Execute daily operational goals and priorities.
• Remove promotional bin tags from displays/price tags as required.
• Restock merchandise displays as needed, watch end caps and side wings.
• Handle special orders for all non-stock items.
• Assist customers and never say no without checking with a manager.
• Watch for shoplifters and act in line with Elder's policy.
• Respond to radio requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
