About The Position

J.Jill is seeking a passionate, customer-focused, results-driven part-time Sales Associate to create a welcoming and positive shopping experience. The associate builds customer relationships, provides personalized service and styling advice, helps customers find products, and contributes to store sales goals. The role also supports merchandise presentation and store operations, works collaboratively with the team, and responds to customer needs in a friendly, solution-oriented way.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Passion for fashion, styling, and creating a welcoming customer experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic team player with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including extensive standing, walking, reaching, bending, pushing and pulling; maneuvering around the store; handling merchandise; climbing ladders; operating POS registers and company mobile devices; occasionally operating a trash compactor or using a hand truck; and lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds, including joint/team lifting.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful connections with customers through personalized service and styling advice.
• Help customers find products and provide a seamless, enjoyable shopping experience while contributing to sales goals.
• Develop a strong understanding of J.Jill merchandise and offer guidance and recommendations.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and execute floor sets.
• Participate in operational functions, including marketing, product processing and replenishment, markdowns and promotions, store cleanliness, and backroom organization.
• Work with team members to foster a positive and supportive work environment.
• Address customer needs and concerns with a friendly, solution-oriented approach.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to help the store succeed.
