About The Position

As a Sales Associate, you are the first face of the Carter’s brand for growing families. You welcome customers, help them find products for milestones in their parenting journey, and contribute to a welcoming and inclusive store environment. The role involves assisting customers with product information and omnichannel needs, handling point-of-sale transactions, replenishing merchandise, communicating promotions and loyalty programs, and maintaining a safe, clean store. Carter’s offers training and development opportunities for employees seeking either seasonal work or a longer-term career. Compensation ranges from $15.00 to $17.00 per hour, based on experience and location.

Requirements

• Demonstrated customer service and customer engagement skills.
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and climb up and down a ladder.
• Availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with product styles, features, and benefits.
• Proactively resolve customer issues and assist multiple customers in a busy retail environment.
• Assist customers with omnichannel needs to support a positive shopping experience.
• Execute and expedite point-of-sale/register transactions.
• Complete floor replenishment and shipment tasks as needed.
• Explain current promotional events and the brand loyalty program, including credit, to customers.
• Help minimize store loss by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, clean store.
