About The Position

The Sales Associate is responsible for accurately recording sales, accepting payments, and maintaining a clean and attractive store environment. This role requires adherence to all company policies, procedures, and legal requirements. The associate must possess strong communication skills in English, maintain positive working relationships, and stay informed about product knowledge, promotions, and advertisements. Key duties include answering customer inquiries, utilizing selling guidelines to enhance sales and satisfaction, stocking merchandise, setting up displays, and accurately receiving inventory. The position also involves working with minimal supervision, managing cash drawers, and potentially preparing food and drinks depending on the location, all while maintaining compliance with health codes.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to communicate with associates and customers in the English language and maintain an amicable work relationship with fellow employees.
  • Must have the ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation.
  • Undertake and support any policy, change, system or procedure the Company implements regarding the basic function of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Record each sale accurately, promptly and in accordance with Company policy and standards.
  • Accept payment and make change for merchandise and services. Wrap or bag merchandise for customers.
  • Perform all duties necessary to maintain a clean and attractive store; both inside and out, in accordance with Company policy and standards and as assigned by Company Management.
  • Learn and comply with all Company policies and procedures, as well as, Federal, State and municipal laws.
  • Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise and advertisements.
  • Answer customer’s questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise or services.
  • Learn and utilize Company selling guidelines to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Stock shelves, counters, coolers or tables with merchandise and in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
  • Set up advertising or promotional displays or arrange merchandise to promote sales.
  • Accurately receive merchandise from vendors in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision and perform essential duties and responsibilities in an environment that will sometimes include increased levels or work-related stress.
  • Based on location, prepare food & drinks, clean, stock and maintain food prep area in compliance with health codes.
  • Secure all funds in safe or register. Make timely drops and maintain cash drawer at or below maximum level in according to Company policies.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Management.
