About The Position

PHOENIX Retail, LLC operates the Express and Bonobos brands. Express is a multichannel apparel brand focused on modern, confident and effortless style, with retail and outlet stores, an online store, and a mobile app. The Sales Associate joins the Express team at the Culver City store and helps provide customers with a great in-store shopping experience. The role also includes stocking, cleaning, folding merchandise, and other tasks as directed by a supervisor.

The associate maintains clean, organized, safe, and inviting sales-floor, checkout, fitting-room, and stock-room areas; follows company policies and procedures; and assists with product launch changes in accordance with company standard operating procedures. They deliver the customer experience model, process transactions accurately and quickly, address customer service issues or escalate them to management, and promote credit and loyalty programs by explaining their benefits to customers.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least six months of relevant experience (with 0–2 years stated), proficiency with technology such as iPads and registers, availability for nights, weekends, and non-business hours, and the ability to meet physical requirements. Previous retail experience is preferred. The posted pay range is $16.90–$24.00 per hour, with actual compensation depending on factors including location, education, skills, and experience. Applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least six months of relevant job experience; the posting lists 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency using technology, including iPads and registers.
• Availability that meets defined criteria, including nights, weekends, and non-business hours.
• Ability to meet the position’s physical requirements.
• Customer service skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly with customers, sales leadership, and associates.
• Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, checkout, fitting room, and stock room to keep the store safe and inviting.
• Follow company policies and procedures to ensure the safety of associates and customers.
• Assist with product launch changes according to company standard operating procedures.
• Deliver all aspects of the customer experience model.
• Process transactions quickly and accurately to reduce customer wait times.
• Resolve customer service issues when possible, or escalate them; communicate issues and resolutions to Store Management.
• Explain credit and loyalty program benefits and encourage customers to participate.
• Assist with stocking, cleaning, folding merchandise, and other tasks as directed by a supervisor.
