About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for assisting customers in their purchase of company products and services. The role involves handling all aspects of customer service, assisting with inventory, promoting a positive culture, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. The Sales Associate will also handle inbound calls, manage required paperwork accurately according to ATF guidelines, quote product features and prices, prepare sales orders, stock products, clean and organize work areas, and enforce safety, health, and security rules, adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Knowledge of Inventory Software; and Order Processing Systems.

Responsibilities

Handles all aspects of customer service (internal and external customers alike)

Responsible for promoting a positive culture within the department/store.
Works with customers to insure a positive shopping experience.
Handles inbound calls
Provides and collects required paperwork and forms following all ATF guidelines, ensuring accuracy of data collected free of errors or missing data.
Maintains required paperwork.
Quotes price and describes features of product items.
Emphasizes salable features, credit terms, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.
Stocks products on sales floor
Cleans and organizes work areas
Enforces safety, health, and security rules.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
All other duties as required by management.
