About The Position

PHOENIX Retail, LLC operates the Express and Bonobos brands worldwide. Express is a multichannel apparel brand offering modern, confident, and effortless styles for work, everyday wear, and special occasions through more than 400 stores in the United States and Puerto Rico, its online store, and mobile app. The Sales Associate at the Staten Island store provides customers with a great in-store shopping experience and assists with stocking, cleaning, folding merchandise, and other store tasks. The role requires meeting availability criteria that include nights, weekends, and non-business hours, as well as meeting physical requirements.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of relevant job experience, with a minimum of 6 months.
• Proficiency using technology, including iPads and registers.
• Availability for nights, weekends, and non-business hours.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Customer service skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly with customers, sales leadership, and associates.
• Collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and organized sales floor, checkout, fitting room, and stock room areas so the store is safe and inviting.
• Follow company policies and procedures to protect the safety of associates and customers.
• Assist with product launch changes according to company standard operating procedures.
• Deliver all aspects of the customer experience model.
• Process transactions quickly and accurately to reduce customer wait times.
• Resolve customer service issues positively, determine an appropriate resolution or escalate them, and communicate issues and resolutions to Store Management.
• Explain credit and loyalty program benefits and encourage customers to participate.
• Perform other essential functions as directed by a supervisor.
• Assist with stocking, cleaning, and folding merchandise.
