About The Position

As a Sales Associate, you are the first face of the Carter’s brand for growing families. You welcome customers and help them find products for the many moments in their parenting journey, from baby essentials to back-to-school needs. You work in a welcoming and inclusive retail environment and contribute to positive customer experiences through product assistance, service, sales transactions, and store upkeep. Carter’s offers training, development, and opportunities to build skills and grow in the role or beyond. Schedules may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Requirements

• Positive, solutions-oriented mindset.

• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and climb up and down a ladder.
• Availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and assist them with product styles, features, and benefits.
• Proactively resolve customer issues and assist multiple customers in a busy retail environment.
• Assist with omnichannel needs to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Execute and expedite point-of-sale and register transactions.
• Complete floor replenishment and shipment tasks as needed.
• Explain current promotional events and the brand loyalty program, including credit, to customers.
• Help minimize store loss by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, clean store.
