About The Position

Scheels is seeking a Part-Time Sales Associate to join their team. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a positive store environment. As an employee-owner, you will be expected to embody Scheels' values of customer experience, teamwork, adaptability, ownership, and integrity.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
1-3 months of sales experience.
Must be over the age of 18 to process bows.
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Ability to navigate a personal computer and a handheld inventory computer/scanner.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Email / Docs, and AS400.

Responsibilities

Greet all customers on the sales floor with genuine courtesy and a smile.
Deliver exceptional customer service by seeking out and engaging with customers, determining their needs, recommending appropriate products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card.
Grow personal sales by consistently hitting set goals and following Scheels' professional salesmanship standards.
Create a positive end-user experience based on the products the customer is purchasing.
Maintain a high standard of visual merchandising and support the team with freight processing and inventory restocking.
Demonstrate product usage within their shop and retrieve product from heights of greater than 6 ft.
Attend all required Scheels product training and all store meetings.
Assist in the training of new associates in the areas of the store's expertise.
Navigate a personal computer and a handheld inventory computer/scanner, using programs such as Microsoft Office, Google Email / Docs, and AS400.
Assist in all other assigned duties by the leadership team.
