About The Position

As a Customer Service Associate in the Tools department, you provide friendly, professional customer service and help customers find products and services for their home improvement needs. You welcome and assist customers, answer questions, help locate and handle merchandise, and may occasionally load merchandise. You also replenish shelves, process orders and deliveries, prepare merchandise for customers, and may cross-train in other store areas. This role is listed as full time and closing.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience using a computer to input, access, modify, or output information.
At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary for the role.
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or more than 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.

Nice To Haves

At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
Bilingual skills.
A trade-related certification, such as in hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional customer service.
Help customers locate and handle merchandise.
Down stock merchandise by identifying empty shelf areas and replenishing supplies.
Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
Cross-train in other store areas to help provide customer service.
Prepare merchandise in the department based on customer needs.
Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
Occasionally load merchandise.
Complete other duties as assigned.
