About The Position

PHOENIX Retail, LLC is seeking a Retail Sales Associate for Express at Newport Ctr Mall. The Sales Associate provides an excellent in-store shopping experience and supports store operations through tasks such as stocking, cleaning, and folding merchandise. The role involves maintaining organized and inviting store areas, processing customer transactions, resolving service issues, and promoting credit and loyalty programs. The position requires availability that includes nights, weekends, and non-business hours, as well as meeting physical requirements.

The role is part of PHOENIX Retail, LLC, a retail platform operating Express and Bonobos. Express is a multichannel apparel brand focused on modern, confident, effortless style, with retail and outlet stores, an online store, and a mobile app.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of relevant job experience; the listed experience range is 0–2 years.
• Proficiency with technology, including iPads and registers.
• Availability meeting defined criteria, including nights, weekends, and non-business hours.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role.
• Customer service skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly with customers, sales leadership, and associates.
• Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, checkout, fitting room, and stock room so the store is safe and inviting.
• Follow company policies and procedures to ensure associate and customer safety.
• Assist with product launch changes according to company standard operating procedures.
• Deliver all aspects of the customer experience model.
• Process transactions quickly and accurately to reduce customer wait times.
• Resolve customer service issues positively, determine an appropriate resolution or escalate the issue, and communicate issues and resolutions to Store Management.
• Promote credit and loyalty member programs by explaining their benefits and encouraging customer participation.
• Perform additional essential functions as directed by a supervisor.
• Assist with stocking, cleaning, and folding merchandise.
