About The Position

The Sales Associate provides customer hospitality and supports daily store operations. The role includes processing customer transactions, addressing complaints, stocking and merchandising products, preparing cooked foods as directed, and maintaining store cleanliness and equipment according to Yesway standards and the store maintenance schedule. Additional duties may be assigned.

The position involves moving merchandise or equipment weighing up to 60 pounds, standing on concrete floors for a standard eight-hour shift, and receiving and stocking merchandise at various heights using stooping, bending, and stretching motions. Successful completion of required certification testing is required upon employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely guest transactions, store cleanliness, and implementation of Yesway standards.
• Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
• Ensure merchandise is properly placed, priced, and stocked.
• Process sales transactions using appropriate equipment.
• Prepare cooked foods as directed by the Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Maintain shelves, counters, floors, glass, and equipment according to the store maintenance schedule.
• Stock and block shelves, bag ice, and maintain soft drink bags-in-box.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
