About The Position

The Sales Associate assists customers throughout the retail store, with the primary responsibility of providing excellent customer service. The role includes greeting customers, answering product-related questions, cashiering, assembling products, and performing general housekeeping and other duties assigned by the manager. Knowledge of housewares products is also needed. The position pays $15.00–$16.00 per hour, depending on experience. It is based in a retail store environment with cold and warm conditions and an irregular work schedule. The company will consider reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities who need them to perform job functions.

Requirements

Excellent customer-service skills.
Knowledge of housewares products.
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to bend and twist frequently.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Knowledge of and/or experience with FFL requirements for the sale of firearms is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers in the retail store and assist with customer-service questions.
Price merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management.
Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
Assist with receiving freight and organize incoming products as directed by store management.
Assist with cycle counts.
Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
Process customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
Handle cash accurately.
Handle customer returns.
Perform housekeeping duties.
Perform other duties as assigned.
