About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales and builds customer relationships through strong customer service and selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are the most important aspects of the position. The associate helps customers select appropriate merchandise while meeting DTLR standards, supports shipment processing and product presentation, and helps keep the store organized and orderly. The position also requires following company policies and visual standards, participating in service and product training, and helping prevent theft. Employees should be able to work in a fast-paced retail environment and meet the role’s physical requirements.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not required.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Use basic fashion and trend knowledge to meet customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise, maintaining DTLR standards, and building customer relationships.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Provide customers with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression and maintain a positive attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with all company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
Help eliminate employee and customer theft.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Help keep the store organized as directed by store management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
