About The Position

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing quality customer service and driving product sales. The role requires knowledge of the store’s product areas and departments, adherence to the visual manual and company policies, and promotion of sales and special offers. As an ambassador of the organization and brand, the Sales Associate helps create a distinctive customer experience that attracts and retains customers. The position focuses on delivering outstanding service and promoting merchandise. This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position in the Operations department at the Clinton, Mississippi (Hammett Crossings) location. The Sales Associate reports to the Store Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

0–2 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks precisely.
Team player who is passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide extraordinary customer service according to the customer service manual, including assisting customers as they enter and serving multiple customers during peak periods.
Promote and sell the organization’s services and merchandise.
Set goals to improve selling skills and track overall sales.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards in the operations, personnel, visual, and customer service manuals, as well as company memos.
Assist with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
Present merchandise to promote and sell products, using guidance in the product knowledge manual.
Meet or exceed sales targets and goals.
Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
Attend all store staff meetings and tech clinics.
Protect company assets and financial information by ensuring internal control procedures are accurate and effective, and report potential fraud risks to management or appropriate officials.
