Sales Associate
About The Position
The Sales Associate works at an assigned United Pacific store and helps operate the facility safely, with a focus on customer service and profitability. The role includes cash handling, cleaning and maintaining lighting and fixtures, and protecting inventory and currency to prevent theft and shrinkage. The associate reports to the Store Manager and receives direct supervision under established company policies and procedures. The role requires learning to use a cash register, computer console, and other work-related equipment and tools. The work is primarily indoors, although extended periods may sometimes be spent outdoors. The associate may work alone in the store for extended periods and must be able to work irregular shifts, including weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work alone in the store for extended periods.
- Must provide proof of authorization to work in the United States if hired.
- Ability to work irregular shifts, including weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for at least 8 hours.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 20 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 20 pounds from ground to overhead for up to 30 minutes of the workday, using appropriate safety equipment.
- Ability to occasionally climb a ladder to store or retrieve materials and place or remove signage.
- Ability to work in small spaces at times.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
