About The Position

This is a part-time sales associate position at Bloomingdale's. The role involves assisting customers, processing sales, managing inventory, and maintaining store cleanliness.

Requirements

Ability to greet customers on the sales floor.
Ability to determine brand, type, and quality of merchandise desired.
Ability to assist customers to locate merchandise.
Ability to display merchandise and suggest selections.
Ability to emphasize selling points of articles.
Ability to act as cashier using POS system.
Ability to prepare sales slip or sales contract.
Ability to receive payment or obtain credit authorization.
Ability to bag merchandise for customer.
Ability to list out-of-stock items or special customer needs.
Ability to place new merchandise on display.
Ability to stock shelves neatly according to product type, brand and size.
Ability to rotate stock and check for outdated goods.
Ability to prepare and maintain inventory of stock.
Ability to count, sort, or weigh incoming products to verify receipt.
Ability to examine stock to verify conformance to specifications.
Ability to check stock for damage or infestation.
Ability to compile reports on adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusals of shipment.
Ability to determine methods of storage, identification and stock location.
Ability to store articles in appropriate locations.
Ability to assist with maintaining a clean store (i.e. sweeping, mopping, washing windows, cleaning restrooms).
Ability to comply with safety and GMP requirements.

Responsibilities

Examine stock for conformance to specifications and check for damage or infestation.
Compile reports on inventory adjustments, stock spoilage/damage, location changes, and shipment refusals.
Determine storage methods, identification, and stock location.
Store articles in appropriate locations.
Assist with maintaining a clean store, including sweeping, mopping, washing windows, and cleaning restrooms.
Comply with safety and GMP requirements.
