About The Position

This role is responsible for assisting customers with their needs, particularly in the firearms department. Key responsibilities include maintaining the department's appearance, managing inventory, handling special orders, and ensuring accurate completion of all necessary forms, such as the 4473. The associate will also promote store programs, identify customer needs, and demonstrate product knowledge. A strong emphasis is placed on customer service, adherence to company policies, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Knowledge and experience of firearms and ammunition
• Knowledge of ATF Federal and State Regulations
• Customer service and sales of firearms and ammunition
• Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members
• Skilled at providing prompt, friendly and attentive customer service
• Strong organizational skills with a passion for details
• Willing to learn all areas of the store and help train others
• A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required
• Availability must be flexible, including evenings, weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

• Hardware experience preferred
• Knowledge and experience of various departments is strongly desired
• Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise.
• Maintain assigned department: Keep clean, organized and fully stocked.
• Execute daily operational goals and priorities.
• Remove promotional bin tags from displays/price tags as required.
• Restock merchandise displays, watch end caps and side wings.
• Handle special orders for all non-stock items.
• Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager.
• Watch for shoplifters and act in line with Elder’s policy.
• Respond to radio requests.
• Identify and evaluate customers needs.
• Promote programs including Ace Reward and In store pick-up.
• Ensure 4473 forms are completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate product knowledge to customers.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
