About The Position

The Sales Associate-Cashier is responsible for maintaining customer service as per company standards, generating sales, housekeeping, merchandising, signing, pricing, point of sale operations, processing freight, and loss prevention in adherence to all company policies and store standards. This role involves greeting and acknowledging every customer, answering customer questions, and helping them find products. The associate will also answer incoming phone calls, maintain radio communication with other associates, and possess comprehensive knowledge of the products sold. Maintaining awareness of product knowledge and merchandise promotions, and assisting with floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and store housekeeping are also key duties. Additional responsibilities include helping in other departments when needed and performing daily cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, replacing trash bags, and sweeping.

Requirements

• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments and to shift priorities accordingly.
• Familiar with how to operate a computer system and email.
• Strong attention to detail.

• Preferably familiar with standard retail concepts and practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping.

• Perform daily cleaning – such as, but not limited to, vacuuming, replacing full trashes with new trash bags, and sweeping the department floor.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
