About The Position

The LEGO Brand Retail team is looking for energetic, enthusiastic individuals to join them on a part-time basis as a Sales Associate (Brick Specialist) at Garden State Plaza in Paramus, NJ. This role is typically responsible for store operational tasks and aims to deliver inspirational retail experiences to LEGO® fans of all ages by providing inspirational guest experiences in an interactive and vibrant store environment. The position involves exceeding guest expectations through fun and meaningful interactions, ensuring a signature experience for every guest, performing cash register functions, and maintaining a professional and engaging demeanor. Additionally, the role includes maintaining a clean, safe, and visually stimulating environment, performing daily cleaning duties, maintaining store displays, and adhering to visual standards. The role also involves safely and efficiently operating the store stockroom, assisting with merchandise receiving, maintaining stockroom standards, adhering to safety regulations, and notifying management of potential shortage situations.

Requirements

  • Constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing for at least two consecutive hours.
  • May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
  • Vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Involves lifting at least 30 lbs.
  • Provide availability for up to 25 hours per week, including at least one weekend day.
  • Must be able to wear an earpiece and headset.
  • Use of voice amplifiers in addition to dancing, singing, and performing.
  • Ability to work in various temperatures and weather inside and outside of the store.

Nice To Haves

  • Being scheduled for 25 hours is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Exceed our guests’ expectations through fun and meaningful interactions
  • Ensure a signature experience for every guest that visits our LEGO® stores by greeting every guest in your location, performing all cash register functions and portraying a professional, gracious, friendly and engaging manner at all times (80%)
  • Provide a clean, safe and visually stimulating environment by performing daily cleaning duties, maintaining store displays and learning and delivering LEGO® Brand Retail visual standards (10%)
  • Safely and efficiently operate the store stockroom as you assist in the receiving of merchandise, maintain the stockroom to LEGO® Brand Retail standards, know and abide by all safety regulations and notify management of potential shortage situations (10%)
  • Communicate effectively with team members and guests
  • Process information/merchandise through the register system
  • Work various hours, days, nights and weekends as business decides
  • Freely access all areas of the store including sales floor, stock areas, register areas, and loading dock area
