Provides customer service by selling, training, demonstrating, servicing, and delivering products for manufacturer to business and automotive and industrial business. The majority of the time is spent in the field traveling to the customer's place of business servicing, presenting new products and selling additional products, technology, sales programs and services while delivering products. This role involves receiving sales orders, scheduling sales calls, and regularly visiting active and prospective customers in person. The Sales Assistant communicates completed sales invoices to the corporate office, performs daily inspections of the delivery vehicle, and maintains sufficient merchandise to service assigned accounts. They report all daily activities using company-supplied tools and service all customer sales needs, including inquiries, complaints, and equipment demonstrations. The Sales Assistant is responsible for initial equipment issue assessment, managing repair action plans, performing minor field repairs, and documenting findings for the equipment repair department. They obtain approval for installations or placements, display or demonstrate products, gather customer data, and assist with customer training. Additionally, they track stock levels, manage customer return requests, and review sales reports to ensure equipment "on loan" meets ROI guidelines. This role also involves investigating and resolving customer problems, including payment issues.
