About The Position

This role is responsible for executing and delivering upon a defined set of Best Business Practices for the Administrative Assistant role. This includes Phone Management, Prospect and Account Setup, Credits Returns Debits, Filing and Record Keeping, Order Entry and Maintenance, Expedites, Leads Entry, CRM Usage and general administrative responsibilities. The Sales Assistant will independently handle some customer inquiries, such as quoting, sourcing, and product technical questions, and may be the primary contact for some customers. They will assist the Business Manager and sales personnel with various tasks, including answering questions, expediting and tracking orders, and retrieving information. Additionally, the role supports the manager and sales personnel with spreadsheets, reports, presentations, proposals, Outlook management, event planning, and travel arrangements. Support is also provided to Operations and Corporate Departments like Accounting, Quality, Marketing, and Purchasing, involving reporting, spreadsheets, document control, literature, problem resolution, and project assistance within the sales office. The position also includes performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Business Manager, sales personnel, customers and vendors by answering questions, expediting and tracking orders and retrieving information.
  • Assists manager and sales personnel with spreadsheets, reports, presentations, proposals, Outlook management, event planning and travel arrangements.
  • Provides support for Operations and Corporate Departments such as Accounting, Quality, Marketing and Purchasing, including reporting, spreadsheets, document control, literature, problem resolution, and assisting with projects within their sales office.
