About The Position

Daikin Applied is seeking a Sales Applications Engineer (Level II, III or IV) to provide technical expertise on company products to sales representatives. This role involves selecting and applying business unit products to meet field requirements, implementing strategies to position products effectively in the marketplace, and collaborating with customers to demonstrate product value. Depending on experience level, the position may also involve providing leadership and direction within the marketing applications organization. This is a hybrid role based in Plymouth, MN.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of Sales Applications Engineering experience (level 3 requires 5+ years and level 4 requires 7+ years)
• HVAC experience (not required for Level 2)

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, accurate support to sales representative inquiries regarding special applications, systems or pricing
• Communicate with customers to evaluate and understand their needs
• Assess processes to meet those needs
• Process requests for modifications or options and other general information not covered by published pricing
• Keep informed on new products and competitive models in the marketplace
• Analyze and propose modifications to current products and services to meet customer requirements
• Prepare technical literature for internal and field application
• Conduct product training to sales representatives and customers
• Evaluate and propose improvements of product training processes
• Provide leadership and direction within marketing applications organization
