About The Position

The Sales and Service Specialist, TNC is an essential member of the Hertz Local Edition team. As a brand ambassador, the Sales and Service Specialist will be facilitating the fastest, easiest, and most valued rental car experience to Lyft and/or Uber drivers. This role ensures optimal operational efficiencies to provide customers the best rental car experience. Responsibilities include assisting customers with creating rental car reservations, processing rentals, and providing clean and safe vehicles. The specialist will also assist customers with various post-rental inquiries related to the rental and billing process, working in a fast-paced environment while providing helpful customer service that enhances the customer’s rental experience. Key duties involve answering phone inquiries about the Hertz/Lyft/Uber Rental Car Program, rental requirements, billing, rental car extensions, and roadside assistance questions. The role requires effectively communicating the Hertz/Lyft/Uber Rental Car Program and Procedures, and maximizing revenue opportunities by actively soliciting business and overcoming customer objections. Additionally, the specialist is responsible for ensuring vehicles are prepared for customer pick-up, including checking for damage, cleaning the interior and exterior, and verifying fluid levels and gasoline tanks.

Requirements

• Previous customer service experience.
• Strong time management and organizational skills are required.
• Computer literate and detailed oriented.
• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to communicate in English clearly and proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance creating a rental car reservation, processing rentals and providing clean and safe vehicles to our customers.
• Assist customers with various post rental inquiries that involve the rental and billing process.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, while providing helpful customer service that enhances the customer’s rental experience.
• Answer phone inquiries about the Hertz/Lyft/Uber Rental Car Program, rental requirements, billing, rental car extensions, roadside assistance questions and more.
• Effectively communicate the Hertz/Lyft/Uber Rental Car Program and Procedures.
• Maximize revenue opportunities with customers by actively soliciting business after customer inquiry by overcoming customer objections.
• Ensure vehicles are prepared for customer pick-up, including checking vehicles for damage, cleaning interior (windows, door jams, trunk, vacuum, etc.) and exterior (wash) of vehicle, filling gasoline tanks and checking fill levels of all fluids.
• Assist with special administrative projects when needed.
