About The Position

The Sales and Service Assistant Manager will effectively market and sell self-storage solutions to potential customers. This role involves working independently, spending time both inside an office and outside on the property, and includes general property care, cleaning, and maintenance. The position requires accurate payment processing, cash handling, and engaging with customers to provide an exceptional experience. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary for performing the essential functions of the job. The role is full-time, non-exempt, and reports to the District Manager. The company, Westport Properties, is an owner-operator of self storage, multifamily, and industrial properties across the United States, founded in 1985. They are a fully integrated operator that develops, acquires, and manages its portfolio, also providing third-party management services. As of January 2025, WPI has over 17 million square feet of self storage space under management and over $3 billion in total assets under management, with over 650 multifamily units. They employ over 600 people nationwide and are involved in charitable initiatives through Kure-It and Charity Storage.

Requirements

  • Must have a Real ID or Passport to travel to San Antonio training center
  • Ability to transport lift/move items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Should be able to walk in and around the property, spending up to 50% of their time in outdoor environments, including climbing stairs and opening large doors
  • Cleaning and daily maintenance tasks, including sweeping and mopping interior areas and maintaining the property curb appeal
  • Valid driver's license and a reliable form of transportation are required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous retail, restaurant, fast food, hospitality, customer service/sales or self-storage experience is a plus
