About The Position

Clarke Power Services, an intense and exciting company, is looking for an intern to join our creative sales and operations team. Our program encourages hard-working, smart, goal-oriented, and creative interns who should plan to participate in many levels of operations, sales, accounting, human resources, and overall business management. The intern hired for this position should expect to learn many facets of our business and will leave this position with invaluable skills and industry knowledge. Completing this internship successfully, will allow for the possibility of being brought on in a full-time position.

Requirements

• Applicants should be in final semester or a recent college graduate
• Experience with MS Office suite, and ability to learn CRM tools, specifically, Dynamics 365, break down data, and communicate this to the team
• Applicants should possess strong intra-personal skills, have an entrepreneurial spirit, and be a competitive team player by nature.
• This is not a remote position and may require travel by car or by aircraft and overnight stays in hotels.
• While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit
• The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
• Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Customer prospecting and profiling
• Research market trends and understand pricing
• Learning how we go to market with product offerings
• Process documentation and sales negotiation
• Understanding the basics of P&L sheets
• Bi-Weekly recap reports on what you learned and accomplished on a weekly basis sent to Directors for both sales and operations
• Learn how our parts and materials inventory collaborates with sales and operations team
• Tandem sales calls with customers
• Work with Branch Customer Service Writers and Branch management to understand billing and scheduling
• Recommendations for process improvements
• Learn about Customer Relationship Management Software (CRM) and how to properly use it
• Learn how our shops are set up and what kinds of equipment we primarily service
• Shadowing Customer Service Managers, Technicians, Account managers, and Sales and Operations leadership
• Learn how our Marketing department manages advertising offerings and social media
