About The Position

The Sales Agronomist III will be responsible for managing existing and attracting new customers within the sales territory, assisting customers with proper product selection and use based on agronomic needs, and maintaining and developing profitable customer relationships. This role involves identifying new key customers, understanding their business, determining their needs, and driving the team to achieve sales territory goals and growth. The position also includes managing territory budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, following credit policies, managing risk, and leading the annual business plan to optimize growth and profitability. The Sales Agronomist III will implement marketing and sales plans, meet sales goals, network with industry representatives, and serve as the primary customer contact for deliveries, forecasting, credit, complaint handling, and custom applications. Additionally, this role involves leading and mentoring team members, reviewing their work, and providing constructive feedback.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Ability to influence sales management to adopt new ideas, practices, and approaches
  • Deep working knowledge of local agricultural crops and market practices
  • Provide clear direction and motivate others
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proficient in working with MS Office Suite
  • Work independently with general oversight
  • Agronomy/Agribusiness degree
  • Strong interpersonal and team-building skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to establish relationships with field personnel, peers, and customers
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable in front of small and large groups and have the ability to lead and influence
  • Detail-oriented and accuracy-oriented, with an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Open to new ideas and are not afraid to challenge the norm to help find better solutions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and digital tools to support sales planning, forecasting, reporting, and customer relationship management
  • Ability to leverage data, analytics, and reporting tools to drive territory performance, identify growth opportunities, and support data-driven decision making
  • Comfortable adopting emerging technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, AI-powered productivity tools, and digital collaboration platforms to improve efficiency and customer engagement
