About The Position

The Sales Agronomist II will be responsible for managing existing and attracting new customers within the sales territory, assisting customers with proper product selection and use based on agronomic needs, and maintaining and developing profitable customer relationships. This role involves identifying new key customers, understanding their businesses, determining their needs, and supporting the team in achieving sales goals and growth. The position also includes assisting with territory budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, following credit policies, managing risks, and coordinating an annual business plan to optimize territory growth and profitability. The Sales Agronomist II will implement marketing and sales plans, meet sales goals, network with industry representatives, and serve as the primary customer contact for deliveries, forecasting, credit, complaint handling, and custom applications, escalating issues to management as needed.

Requirements

  • 3 + years of experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel throughout the territory and to periodic sales meetings
  • Knowledge of herbicides and fertilizers (dry and liquid)
  • Developing a working knowledge of local agricultural crops and market practices
  • Proficient with computers, utilizing Microsoft Office and Windows applications
  • Agronomy/Agribusiness degree

Responsibilities
