About The Position

MYTEX Polymers US Corp is seeking a Sales Account Manager to manage sales within a designated territory, aiming to achieve targets for sales, gross profit, volume, product goals, and market penetration. The role involves planning weekly sales itineraries to execute the overall sales strategy, servicing existing accounts, and ensuring the timely delivery of products that meet customer needs. This position requires extensive interaction with customers and internal departments such as Sales Management, CSRs, Technical, Purchasing, Quality, and Finance. The Sales Account Manager will also be responsible for resolving any issues that arise before, during, or after a sale, monitoring competitive activities (including pricing, payment terms, shipment terms, and competitor product offerings), and communicating these findings to relevant parties. Additionally, the role involves developing and maintaining a professional presence in the territory by expanding product knowledge, enhancing sales management skills through training, and participating in local professional organizations. Accurate record-keeping of customer sales, prospective customers, customer call reports, and competitor information is essential. The position also emphasizes maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues and adhering to all applicable customer, safety, ISO/IATF 16949 QMS, and ISO14001 EMS requirements. Any other assigned duties will also be part of the role.

  • 1 – 3 years’ experience in Plastics Distribution Sales or related industry.
  • Proven, relevant qualifications in the following areas: self-motivator, enthusiastic, time management skills and responsive.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills along with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required.
  • Ability to negotiate and build effective relationships.
  • Strong project management and negotiation skills.
  • Strong Organizational, Verbal and Written skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with a Japanese owned company is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manages sales in the territory to reach sales, gross profit, volume, penetration targets, and product goals.
  • Plans weekly sales itinerary to realize overall sales strategy.
  • Services existing accounts and coordinates division’s sales and delivery of products to meet customer needs.
  • Resolves any problems that occur before, during, or after the sale (i.e., credit, supply issues).
  • Monitors competitive situations including pricing, payment terms, shipment terms, and types of materials handled by competitors.
  • Communicates competitive situations and other relevant information to relevant parties.
  • Develops and maintains professional presence in the territory by expanding product knowledge, enhancing sales management skills, and participating in local professional organizations.
  • Gathers information and maintains accurate records regarding customer sales, prospective customers, customer call reports, and competitors in the territory.
  • Maintains a helpful and friendly working relationship with fellow employees.
  • Complies with all applicable customer, safety, ISO/IATF 16949 QMS, and ISO14001 EMS requirements.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • The salary range for this position is $82,600 - $103,200.
  • This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
