About The Position

Southern Prosthetic Supply (SPS), a Hanger company, is the leading distributor of orthotic and prosthetic products in the United States. SPS partners with clinicians, hospitals, orthopedic groups, and fabrication companies to deliver innovative solutions and exceptional service that empower providers to deliver outstanding patient care. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be a key driver of SPS’s growth strategy in the designated region. You will lead efforts to cultivate new and existing customer relationships across Orthotic & Prosthetic practices, DME providers, fabrication companies, hospitals, and orthopedic groups. This role demands a dynamic, results-oriented sales leader with a passion for building business, strategic planning, sales team coaching and development, driven to exceed performance goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience, preferably in healthcare, medical devices, or DME.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Strong strategic planning, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 80%).
  • A valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve overall company sales targets and territory revenue objectives, including execution of VA and Government business plans.
  • Develop and execute regional sales and marketing strategies with your team to meet and exceed performance goals.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales funnel of target companies and opportunities.
  • Prospect, qualify, develop, and close new business agreements through consultative selling and strategic negotiation.
  • Track and report weekly on sales forecasts and progress toward goals.
  • Conduct on-site presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions to educate and engage clinical and administrative stakeholders.
  • Provide ongoing service and support for DME inventory accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless customer service and account management.
  • Identify trends in the O&P industry and recommend strategies to capture new business, including new product opportunities.
  • Support professional development of sales team members to ensure skill alignment with company and territory goals.
  • Evaluate and refine business processes to meet evolving customer and market needs.
  • Ensure judicious use of company resources, including travel and entertainment expenditures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines.
  • Partner with the marketing team to align promotional efforts with customer needs and product priorities.
  • Leverage customer and vendor data to uncover new business opportunities and optimize profitability.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and utilization of Salesforce for sales tracking and customer relationship management.
  • Documented success in leveraging added value concepts to keep top customers informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to customers; surveys industry landscape for competitive activity and develops new strategies to combat threat.
  • Documented success in the development of long-term relationships with top customers that led to an increase of sales revenues or market share by exceeding customer expectations.
  • Documented success in leveraging physician relationships to build competitive barriers with-in these practices.
  • Documented success in preparing sales presentations, sales literature, journal articles and samples to increase sales.
